Catherine Martin Andre went home to be with the Lord on February 18, 2023, at the age of 72.
Cathy was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on January 22, 1951. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Catherine Martin.
Cathy is survived by her husband George Andre, her sister Maureen Reidy, her brother John Martin, her four children Kristy, Mark, Bree, and Piper, as well as her 10 lovely grandchildren.
Cathy made the journey by boat with her family when she was 13 to the United States from Scotland to settle with her family in North Carolina. She tried to lose her accent as quickly as possible to fit in with her classmates and her new home.
She started her career in accounting with the Cato Corporation, and Belk and has been running a family business with her husband George for the past 37 years.
Cathy had an immense love for animals, especially dolphins and her three corgis, Snuggles, Wiggles, and Smitty. She also loved working in the yard, sitting on the patio watching hummingbirds, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Cathy's Celebration of Life will be Saturday, February 25th, 2023 from 12:30pm - 4:00pm at the Hilton Head Lakes Clubhouse by the pool. The Golf Club at Hiton Head Lakes 2130 Club Way, Hardeeville, SC 29927.
