Catherine Budnick Obituary

Catherine L. Budnick, 104, of Minersville, passed away Sept. 1, 2024.

Born in Buck Run, June 25, 1920, she was a the fifth of seven children of the late Daniel and Anna (Mitchell) Budnick.

Following her graduation from Minersville High School, she attended St. Agnes School of Nursing in Philadelphia. Catherine then went on to serve as a nurse in the U.S. Army in WWII. She then continued her career as a registered nurse at Ketttering Hospital, New York City.

She was a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Minersville and a member of Teacher's College.

The last member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Anna Trenosky, Eve Sykes, Mary Budnick; and two brothers, Michael Budnick and John Paul Budnick.

She is survived by nieces and nephews including Rose Ann Roscoe, of Minersville; and Frank Roscoe, of Texas.

Divine Liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024 at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 415 N. Front St., Minersville, PA 17954. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial with military honors will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
