Catherine ann Collins

Catherine was born in Swissvale, PA, moved to Wickliff, Ohio, then to Mentor, Ohio before relocating to Melbourne, Florida where at the age of 86 passed away September 30, 2025, peacefully at William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay, Florida.

Catherine is survived by her son, Daniel Collins, and a daughter, Kelly Davis; her grandchildren, Melissa, Blake, Nolan and Connor Collins; her great grandchildren, Isabella, Michelle Lynn and Kayden Collins.

Catherine is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Hosper; her sons, Philip and Shawn Collins and his wife, Tamara; her older sister, Mary Jane Hosper.

Catherine was active for so many years as a greeter at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community, where she was active in a prayer group known as the "Butterflies", along with the "Crafty Ladies". She enjoyed cooking, playing games "Farkel", Bingo, and other board games with her grandchildren. Hosting prayer nights and other events, wrapping presents (that were usually too gorgeous to open), sewing, crochet. Worked for Publix as a cashier for over 25 years before retiring, as well as being a Mary Kay Consultant, and Christmas Around the World Consultant. While being a consultant, she earned many trips abroad. Favorite movie was "Gone with the Wind" favorite music was Neil Diamond, George Strait, and Lara's Theme from Dr. Zivago. Spending time with her dog, Oscar, for over 9 years. Along with always making sure her hair and make-up were perfect.

Visitation on November 4, 2025, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community, 3050 N. Highway A1A, Indialantic, Florida from 10:30 – 11:00 am. A Mass at the church at 11:00 am, followed by placement in the Cremation Garden at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community, with a butterfly release for those who wish to attend. A reception at the Community Center at Holy Name will conclude.

In Lieu of Flowers, donation may be made to American Heart Association, Brest Cancer Awareness, o the Alzheimer's Association, or Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community or William Child's Hospice House are appreciated in Catherine's honor would be greatly appreciated.
