Catherine L. Dubas-Busuttil, an esteemed figure in the community and a beloved matriarch, peacefully departed this world on April 21, 2025, at Hospice House in East Northport, NY. Born on September 1, 1956, in Huntington, NY, Catherine was a lifelong resident of Centerport, where she built not only a career but also cherished relationships that spanned decades.
A dedicated professional, Catherine excelled as an Award-winning Director of Leasing for Pergament Properties in Woodbury, NY, where her creativity and leadership shone brightly. Her passion and energy were evident in every project she undertook, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to work alongside her.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Catherine infused life with warmth through her roles as a devoted wife, an energetic mother, and a loving grandmother. She will be dearly remembered by her beloved spouse, Thomas Busuttil, who stood by her side through life's many adventures. Her legacy continues through her cherished family, including her son, Michael (Morgan) Dubas; stepdaughter, Kristin Ashcraft; and her grandchildren: Carter, Constance, Cove, and Charlie, who were the lights of her life and called her CHACHA.
Catherine's nurturing spirit was deeply rooted in her family ties. She is survived by her loving mother, Frances McCutcheon, and her sister, Karen (Tony) LaBarbera, whose bonds were forged in the joys and challenges of life. Additionally, she leaves behind her stepsons, Bryan (Kaitlyn), Christopher (Jackie), and Kevin (Siera), each of whom was embraced as part of her extended family.
