Catherine Frederick Obituary
Catherine Frederick (aka Kate) passed away on Nov. 16, 2024. Her primary/secondary education years took place in Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC. She entered the Congregation of Holy Cross novitiate where she received a bachelor's degree at St. Mary's College, Notre Dame Indiana. Upon graduation, she served as a teacher in various locations in the United States and then went to Uganda, East Africa as a missionary for 17 years. Upon her return to the States, she continued teaching in various elementary schools in Fairfax, VA..
She is survived by her brother, John F. Frederick, sister, Rose M. Frederick, and four nieces (Linda (Bailey) Snuffin, Mary (Bailey) Smyser, Katrina (Callen) Alcade, Cynthia (Callen) McKeever and one nephew, Frank Bailey as well as many great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sister, Mary F. (Frederick) Bailey.
