Catherine worked at CDS Global in Harlan for seven years until retirement in 1993.

After they retired, Catherine and Bob moved back to Grand Junction, where they were faithful members of First United Methodist Church. In 2019, Catherine and Bob moved back to Harlan to be closer to family.
