We gather to remember and honor the vibrant life of Catherine Ivelisse Gomez, known lovingly as Catherine, Cat, KAT, Skyblue Babyblue, Dimplez and Lucky. Born on February 1, 1984, in Boston, Massachusetts, Catherine's charisma and spirited nature touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a thoughtful, creative soul, who enriched the world with her warmth and laughter. Her life was a testament to her faith, reflected beautifully in the words of the Bible, "Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven" (Matthew 5:16).

Catherine was a resilient woman who enjoyed traveling to several places, including Santo Domingo, New York, and Florida and making her home in Boston. A tireless worker, Catherine was known for her reliability and compassion. Her greatest joy was found in the company of her children, whether it was running to Dunkin Donuts, shopping, or having mani-pedi time. She enjoyed movie nights with her family, and her commitment to ensuring the happiness of her children was unwavering. Catherine was also fiercely loyal to her friends, who will miss her courage and her infectious laugh.

Catherine is survived by her beloved parents Rosa and Juan Gomez, her devoted sons Ocyris, O'Ryan, Omari and young ones that she opened her heart and home to, her siblings Irma, Juan G., Sagrado and O'Brien. Sister-in-law Robyn, brother-in-law Rodolfo, her dear nieces and nephews Franky, Irkleris, Kelvin, Giovany, Sofia, Juan Jr., Johnny, Algenis and so many more. Her respected aunts Milagros, Dolores, Carmen, Isabel and dedicated loving uncle Roberto Miliano, loving cousins Jenny, Geo, Jonathan, Robertico as well as other numerous cousins. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate her life and the joy she brought into ours. We warmly invite you to share your memories and photographs of Catherine Ivelisse on her memorial page, as a tribute to the infectious spirit and love she embodied.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 1, 2025, from 2-6 pm at McHoul Family Funeral Home, 354 Adams Street, Dorchester, Massachusetts. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday , September 2, 2025, at 10:00am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 400 Dudley Street, Boston, Massachusetts. Burial will follow at 11:15am EDT at St Michael Cemetery, 500 Canterbury Street, Boston, Massachusetts.

We encourage you to leave remembrances, stories, and photos of Catherine on her memorial page. In this way, we can continue to celebrate her life and keep her memory alive.
