Vici, OK 73859 Catherine "Cathy" Myra Huber, 70, of Taloga, Oklahoma, passed from this life on July 31, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Cathy was born on June 26, 1955, in Mooreland, Oklahoma, to Wilfred and Alma (Baker) Drake. She grew up in the Lenora and Taloga area and attended Taloga Public Schools, graduating with the Class of 1973. On July 1, 1977, Cathy married the love of her life, Joseph "Joe" Harry Huber, in Grayslake, Illinois. They spent a short time in Round Lake, Illinois, before returning to Taloga to raise their family. Together they were blessed with two sons, Brian and Jeffrey. Cathy was a familiar and beloved face at Taloga Public Schools, where she worked as a custodian for many years. After this she also served as custodian at Hammon Public Schools where she likewise was a special presence. One call that was very important to Cathy was her work at Shaw Funeral Home, where her warm smile and calming personality helped families in their time of need. Above all, she was a devoted homemaker and full-time mom, a role she cherished deeply. Cathy found joy in life's simple pleasures-reading, sewing, and camping-and most of all, spending time with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren. Her warmth and presence created a lasting impact on all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred and Alma Drake, and her brothers, Jerry Don Drake and Garry Drake. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 48 years, Joe Huber of Taloga, OK; sons, Brian Huber and wife Wendy of Taloga, OK, and Jeffrey Huber and wife Melissa of Stillwater, OK; grandchildren, Cheyenne Huber of Edmond, OK, and Lucas Huber of Stillwater, OK; step-granddaughters, Amber Bartelson of Mayville, MI, Bailee Kemp of Mayville, MI, Taylor Sands of Enid, OK, Kaitlin Artherton of Enid, OK, Bethany Martin of Seiling, OK, and Kristin Artherton of Seiling, OK; niece, Shelley (Drake) Karl of Washington, PA; sister-in-law, Maxine Drake of Pauls Valley, OK; along with other extended family and a host of dear friends. Cathy will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her legacy of kindness and devotion will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
