Catherine Lynn Jameson, 45, of Milton, Florida passed away on November 9, 2023. Cathy was born on March 31, 1978, to Bill and Glenda Caudell. She was the 4th child of her mother, and the only biological child of her father.
Cathy was spirited and feisty, but she was also caring and intelligent. Cathy found happiness in helping others, and she was always there to help someone in need, when she had the ability to do so, and quite often even when she didn't, because she would find a way. Cathy was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, as a child, where she first learned of God's love for her. As a preteen, she and her older sister were embraced by the love of a social worker named Ken Crider, who invited them to attend Celebration Baptist Church with him and his family. That is where Cathy and her sister met the Murray family. Bob instantly felt a draw to be a father figure to Cathy, because Cathy had lost her father at a very young age, and this allowed her to be a child again, to trust again. The bond became one that would change the course of Cathy's life, as well as her grandchildren's lives, forever.
Cathy is survived by her husband and partner of 18 years, Terry Jameson; her first born child, Shaunna Murray; 4 beautiful grandchildren and she was looking forward to meeting her fifth, which is due early next year; two older brothers, George (Kelly) Pugh, Mark Pugh, and her older brother, Kenneth McCree (Ellen) who was very dear to her; and one sister, Liz Hernandez (Vince), whom she called her "Mom-ster"; her niece, Meagan Murray, an honorary niece, Amy McCree, who was there to help her at the end of her life's journey; her maternal aunt, Cindy Patt; as well as many other cousins and extended family.
Cathy was proceeded in death by her father, Bill; her mother, Glenda; her grandmother, Velda; uncles, Tommy Phillips and Larry Joe Phillips; as well as four paternal uncles.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Chad Black for the friendship, compassion, and support that he has shown for the family over the last several years.
Also, the family would like to thank Cathy's Pastor, Paul Raught, for all that he has done.
A small private service is being planned for the family.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date for all who would like to attend.
