Catherine "Kay" Kellerman

Kellerman, Catherine "Kay" COLONIE Catherine "Kay" V. Kellerman, 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at her daughters' home after a brief illness. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late William Sr. and Katherine (Milrick) Rosenberger. Kay was the devoted wife to her husband, Norman L. Kellerman Sr. until his passing in 2009. She dedicated her life to her children, Kathleen (Richard) Judeikis, of Schenectady, Robin (Peter) Barnick of Colonie, Norman (Valerie) Kellerman Jr. of Sierra Vista, Ariz. and David (Patti) Kellerman of Schenectady; her kitty Cher-a-Bella and all her grand-furbabies. Kay is survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one the way, plus several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of Deloris Fitzgerald and Marylou Gattuso (Vince) and the late William and Joseph Rosenberger. Kay retired from the Guilderland School District Transportation Dept. as a bus driver and became the dispatcher until she retired in 1994. For many years, Kay also worked for the Tawasentha Park Summer Program as a bus driver, and became the coordinator, organizing the program until she retired at the age of 80. In 1979, Kay was one of the first women to become a firefighter and a life member of the North Bethlehem Fire Dept. and Ladies Auxiliary and held many different offices. Kay was a huge fan of the N.Y. Mets baseball team and enjoyed elephant collecting, bowling, camping, fishing and shopping. Calling hours will be held on May 11, from 4-7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. The funeral will be on May 12, at 9 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by interment in the Saratoga National Cemetery.
