Catherine E. Muller

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Catherine E. Muller of Colonie, age 96, passed to God's care, on January 22, 2026, following a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Frank Burzynski of Chicopee, Mass. Catherine graduated from American International College, in Springfield, Mass., then continued her training to become an ASCP Registered Laboratory Technician. She started her career working at what is now The Baystate Medical Center, in Springfield, Mass.
She married Paul Andrew Muller, Coach and Director of Athletics and Physical Education at Berlin Central School. They were married for 61 years, and raised three children, Patricia (Dennis) Pedone, Robert (Aileen) Muller and Susan Muller. Her beloved family grew to include three grandchildren, Stephanie Muller, Kristina (Jeremy) Kelly and Samantha Muller; and two great-grandchildren, Desmond and Benson Kelly.
Catherine continued her education, attending Russell Sage College for her graduate work, and was employed as a special education teacher by BOCES Quester III for 15 years. She retired at 55, and stayed active with her three grandchildren, who enriched her life.
Catherine will be interred at Memory's Garden in a private family ceremony.
