Catherine Leyda Obituary
Catherine Leyda, 94, of Charleroi passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 29, 2023 in her home. Born on May 24, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Katherine Kanap.
She was a devout Jehovah Witness and loved to crochet and knit and was the world's best apple pie maker.
Catherine is survived by her grandchildren, Heather Reynolds, Tiffany Leyda, and Kim Walker; great-grandson, Evan Reynolds; and daughter-in-law, Rita Leyda.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Edward Leyda, Sr.; son, Edward Leyda, Jr.; and sisters, Martha Kanap, Mary Kruczek, and Dorothy Kanap.
Private interment was in Monongahela Cemetery.
