Catherine “Cathy” Ann Manning, 65, of Hingham, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
Born in Milton, Massachusetts, to Doris (Bertram) and Thomas Manning. She graduated from Milton High School and continued her education at Babson College where she earned her bachelor’s degree.
Cathy built a distinguished and deeply meaningful career, in the financial services industry at John Hancock and later at State Street Global Advisors, before finding her true calling in teaching and coaching. She discovered a profound love of teaching and was called back to Babson College, where she quickly became a beloved presence in the classroom. She taught there for 10 years, inspiring generations of students. After her years in teaching, she embraced her passion for coaching. Cathy spent 20 years with The Collaborative, where she found great fulfillment in her work and formed many close, lasting relationships with her clients and colleagues.
In her later years, Cathy celebrated life with her daughter Dori. She loved spending time traveling, baking for those she loved, shopping and she developed a deep love of photography. She showered her nieces and nephews with her time and attention. To her family, Cathy was known for her determination, generosity, and caring spirit. She lived her life grounded in faith, guided by love, and fueled by a lifelong passion for learning.
Cathy is survived by her daughter, Dori Manning and her grandson Thomas of Jacksonville, FL; her brothers Tim Manning and his wife Laura of Hingham, MA; Peter Manning and his wife Alanna of Scituate, MA; her sister Carol Krall and her husband Tom of Scituate, MA; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents, Doris and Thomas Manning.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during visiting hours on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 4 PM – 7 PM at Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald Street, Hingham. A Funeral Mass at the Church of the Resurrection, Hingham, at 10:30 AM. A burial will follow at Milton Cemetery in Milton, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Croí Health Charitable Fund, 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA 02061.
