She was an active and devoted member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Columbia and enjoyed counted cross stitch.
mass of Christian burial will be held from St. Peter's Catholic Church, 121 S. Second St, Columbia PA 17512 on Monday, December 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. There will be no viewing or family visitation prior to the mass
Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery..
Catherine Ann Overmeyer, 71, passed away on November 28, 2024, at her residence. A lifelong Columbia resident, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Betty Lou Haberstroh Overmeyer.
Catherine was a Columbia High School graduate, Class of 1971 and retired from Armstrong World Industries after many years of service. She was an active and devoted member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Columbia and enjoyed counted cross stitch and will be remembered for her peanut butter eggs and playing Santa for many years, visiting family and friends during the holidays.
She is survived by her siblings, Gregg, husband of Barbara, Strasburg; George, husband of Pamela, Mountville; Gary, husband of Janet, Tewksbury, MA; Gordie, husband of Cori, Millersville; Francine, wife of Greg Hohenwarter, New Providence; Linda, wife of Mike Gowarty, Lancaster; Joe Overmeyer, Mount Joy and Juli, wife of Greg Tulino, Lancaster. Numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held from St. Peter's Catholic Church, 121 S. Second St, Columbia PA 17512 on Monday, December 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Augustine Joseph, celebrant. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery. There will be no viewing or family visitation prior to the mass. Kindly omit flowers. Memorial contributions in Catherine's memory may be made to St. Peter's Catholic Church.
