Catherine Perkins Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wilson Funeral Home - Bethesda Chapel on Jan. 24, 2026.
Catherine "Cathy" Ann (Landers) Perkins of Belmont, OH, died January 21, 2026.

She was born in Syracuse, NY, on October 13, 1946, to Edith Catherine (Tobin) Landers and Maurice Keefe (Red) Landers. She grew up in Conneaut, OH graduating from Conneaut High School in 1964. Cathy earned a degree in Accounting from Bliss College in Columbus, OH and worked at Ohio State where she met her future husband of 57 years – Roger Perkins.

On August 17, 1968, Roger and Cathy married, and moved first to Scio, OH, and later to Belmont County, where they operated a family farm and raised three children: Jennifer (married to David Pittman), Patrick, and Sara. They also established Classic A. Properties, a real estate development, construction and management business, where Cathy served as the Office Manager.

Cathy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She never knew a stranger, and embodied genuine kindness and lifted the spirits of others through her sense of humor. She celebrated her Irish heritage, The Ohio State University Buckeyes, and her family. Cathy will be deeply missed.

Cathy was preceded in death by Pat Perkins (son), Edith and Red Landers (parents), and Martha and Clarence Perkins (mother and father-in-law). She is survived by her husband Roger (Belmont), daughter Jennifer and son-in-law David Pittman of Beallsville, daughter Sara of Alexandria, VA, and grandchildren Carrie, Madison and Daniel Pittman.
