Harold "Junior" Smith, 72, of Bethesda, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus, on January 25, 2026. He was born on October 1, 1953 in Canton, Ohio to the late Harold and Margaret (Nye) Smith.

Junior was a steel worker for many years. He also maintained the golf courses at Belmont Hills Country Club. Junior was a member of the Bethesda Methodist Church for over 40 years. He enjoyed going to dinner with his family to his favorite restaurant, Schlepp's. He was a woodworker who liked to build trucks. He liked to mow the lawn and keep the grass perfect. He enjoyed decorating for the holidays, Christmas was his favorite. He loved being outdoors and he loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He never met a stranger and could bring a smile to anyone. He will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Smith; granddaughter, Alexia; siblings, Chuckie and Debbie Smith and Bonnie Benson.

Left with cherished memories are his beloved wife, Becky Smith; sons, Matthew (Rachael) Smith, Markie Smith; grandchildren, Shyann, Lilly, Hunter, Dylan, Cameron, Logan; daughter-in-law, Johnna Lynn.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 4-7pm at the Wilson Funeral Home, Bethesda Chapel, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio. The funeral service will be on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 11am at the funeral home with Rev. Tom Detling officiating. Burial to follow at Ebenezer Cemetery.
