Obituary of Catherine Laidler Rozar
Eatonton, Georgia – Catherine Laidler Rozar, 86, went home to be with her personal Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 24, 2022. A visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. A graveside service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 AM at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Macon, Georgia.
Catherine was born on July 2, 1935 in Hawkinsville, Georgia to the late Esther Parton and Albert Laidler. Catherine was a hard-working lady who strived to provide for those she loved and cherished. Catherine thoroughly enjoyed gardening flowers and she was often times mesmerized by the beauty they illuminated. She was a very loving individual who always had a beautiful smile on her face.
When someone was searching for Catherine, she could often times be found outside sunbathing or on the pontoon boat enjoying the scenery of Lake Sinclair. Catherine was also an avid fisher who found great joy in casting a fishing line and waiting for the bobber to sink below the surface. She found great peace in the outdoors and being on the lake allowed Catherine to escape from the realities of the world.
While she loved the beauty of the lake, she adored children. In fact, the children of the neighborhood would come and visit Catherine and they would sit outside and sing countless karaoke songs and share many laughs. Although, she enjoyed singing with the children she valued the importance of teaching the next generation about honor and integrity.
Whether she was helping someone in their time of need or just wanting to help someone, Catherine was always charismatic to an individual and their needs. She understood the importance of service and served her Lord and Savior with all of her strength up until her final hour. She shared of the good news to countless people including the nurses who could recite a prayer that Catherine always said. "Lord you know who I am. You know where I have been. You know where I am. Please come and get me and take me home."
In addition to her parents there waiting for Catherine at the gates of heaven was her beloved husband, Bob Rozar; Children, Eugene Reynolds, Sue Thunderburk; Siblings: Larry Laidler, Jr. Laidler, Louis Owens, Gene Laidler, and Russell Laidler.
Left to cherish the beautiful memory of Catherine is her beloved Children: Bud Reynolds (Debbie), George Roe Reynolds (Kathy); Grandchildren: Tyler Reynolds (Cynthia), Roe Reynolds (Heather), Dusty Reynolds (Joy), Christy Richardson, Lakeisha Thunderburk, Laurie Prater (Kevin), Chris Dollar, Melissa Colson-Berry; 24 Great-grandchildren. Catherine is also survived by a host of extended family members and countless friends.

My beautiful Cat! I miss you so much! I was posting on Eddie's page this morning to help celebrate his 80th birthday. I still celebrate you both, every year. There is a huge hole in my heart where you both were. You will always be revered in my eyes!! I'll love you until my dying breath.
