Catherine "Cookie" Sampere

Catherine "Cookie" Sampere passed away on August 9, 2023, surrounded by her family and dear friends. She was a kind and caring person, who loved her family, friends, church, and neighborhood. Her passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. She will be missed and remembered with a smile.
Cookie was the only child of Elizabeth Mazzatenta and Paul Sampere. She was a lifelong resident of South Philly living in her family home on East Passyunk Avenue. She graduated in 1962 from St. Maria Goretti High School and worked in several jobs before spending the remainder of her career at Methodist Hospital and Annunciation B.V.M. Church. She was a devoted Catholic, loved to travel, and was always generous to charitable organizations and friends around Philadelphia.
Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral mass on Saturday, November 11 at 10am at Annunciation B.V.M. Church at the corner of South 10th St. and Dickinson Philadelphia PA 19147. Int. will be held private.
