Catherine Shipley Obituary
On February 1st, 2025, Catherine Gertrude Shipley (nee Brewer) passed away. Born on May 22nd, 1928 to the late Ethel and late Alan Brewer, she was the loving wife of the late John E. Shipley, Sr.; devoted mother of the late Donald E. Busch and his surviving wife, Myra, Robert C. Brewer, John E. Shipley, Jr. and his partner, Pat Gussio; cherished grandmother of Tracey Nelson, Kimberly Shaw, Amy Marshall, Charles Brewer, Marci Brewer, Mark Shipley, Brandin Shipley, Daniel Shipley, Tracey Nelson; caring great grandmother of Tia, Jackson, Carter, Molly, Quinn, Cole, Norah, Demi, Ruby, River, Raven, Kai, Isa “Indica”, Finn, Zion, Zen, Zeke, Wrenna, Isaac, Jojo, Bella; dear great great grandmother of Theodore and Judah; loving sister of the late Gloria Brewer Bodas.
A public visitation will be held at the family-owned Ambrose Funeral Home, Inc., 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd., Arbutus on Friday, February 7th from 10 AM to 12 PM, with a funeral service beginning at 12 PM. Interment will immediately follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
