Catherine Lynn Short, 72, passed away on August 5, 2025, in Florissant, Missouri.

Born on November 3, 1952, Catherine was a graduate of Mary Carroll High School and Southeastern Bible College. Her professional life reflected her dedication to service and care for others. She worked as a transcriptionist at Ochsner Medical Hospital and later contributed her skills in medical records in St. Charles, Missouri. She also served as a substitute teacher in the Pattonville and Ritenour school districts.

Catherine was deeply devoted to her faith and was an active member of both the Church of St. Charles and Chatham Bible Church. Her love for the Lord guided her daily life, and she found joy in sharing His word wherever she went.

She an accomplished seamstress and talented artist who loved to draw. Her goofy sense of humor brought smiles to those around her, especially her beloved children and grandchildren, whom she cherished above all else.

Catherine is survived by her daughter Kimberly David; son Steven David; grandchildren Chloe, Brayden, Alexandria, and Oliver; and sisters Caroline Short, Donna Peters-Comeaux, and Cindy Aultman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Caroline Sue Short and Walter C.D. Short Jr., as well as her brother Walter C.D. Short III.

Catherine's unwavering faith, joyful heart, and deep love for her family leave a lasting legacy. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.

Memorial donations in Catherine's honor may be made to Shriners Hospitals, Connections for Success, or Youth in Need.
