Catherine Sollars Obituary
Catherine A. Sollars, 77, Marion, passed away in her home at 10:59 am on Friday, December 20, 2024. She was born in Jonesboro, Indiana, on Wednesday, January 15, 1947, to Oscar and Alma (Edgington) Benson. On February 19, 1966, she married Larry D. Sollars and he preceded her on February 10, 2008.
Catherine graduated from Mississinewa High School and worked at Marion General Hospital in patient admitting until her retirement in 2007. She was an avid reader. When her husband was living, she enjoyed going to festivals and shopping in Shipshewana and Metamora.
Survivors include her daughter, Michele Jeffrey of Marion; son, Heath E. (Patricia) Sollars of Cocoa, FL; grandchildren, Christopher (Sydney) Jeffrey of Huntington Beach, CA, Ashley (Brandon) Clement of Saline, MI, Eric (Jewel) Sollars of Indianapolis, Caleb Davis of Indianapolis, Nolan Davis of Marion, Dillon Damren and Liam Cutts of Cocoa, FL; great-grandchildren, Elijah, Lucas, Raelynn, Ezra, Stella, Sebastian, and Sawyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Alma Benson; husband, Larry D. Sollars; and brother, Elen Benson.
The family will receive visitors from 9:30 am to 11:30 am on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Catherine's life will begin at 11:30 am. Burial will take place at Marion National Cemetery.
