Catherine Sullivan

Catherine Edwards Sullivan, 68, formerly of Sandusky, OH transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, unexpectedly after a short illness.
Catherine, also known as Cat, was born to Mary Zella Brown Page & Marvin Odell Edwards, Sr. on June 22, 1957, in Sandusky, OH. Her family moved to Omaha, NE for a short period of time and then eventually back to Sandusky, OH. She graduated from Perkins High School in 1976.
Cat dedicated her life to Christ as a young adult and was a member of Porter's Memorial A.M.E Church. After spending her early adulthood in Sandusky, Cat & her daughter Elise moved to the Cleveland, OH area. She was employed and retired from the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center. While living in the Cleveland area she attended a few different churches; she was currently a member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church.
Cat was a people person who loved life, and everyone loved her. She loved dancing, cooking, spending time with family and watching football. Leaving to cherish Cat's memory are her sons Tyrus Antwana Edwards of Toledo, OH, Fred TaShawn Edwards, Sr., and Steven Brown, Jr.; her granddaughters, Dioria Brown, Tyra Edwards and Brittany Jones, of Sandusky, OH; Samantha Mayfield, of Dallas, TX; Christianna Brown & Myriacle Adams both of Cleveland, OH; her grandsons, Notorious Brown, Marcquis Mayfield, Fred Edwards, Jr., Tyrese Edwards, Tremaine Brown and Tylan Edwards, of Sandusky, OH; Brent Brown Adams of Cleveland, OH; and great-granddaughter, Nevah Edwards of Sandusky, OH; her sister, Christine Edwards Russell of Cleveland, OH; her brothers, Ellis Edwards and Marvin Edwards of Sandusky, OH; and Demarcus Brown, of Norwalk, OH and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Cat was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Sullivan; daughter, Elise Anna LaVerne Brown; daughter-in-law, Hope Mayfield; parents, Mary Zella Brown Page & Marvin Odell Edwards, Sr.; paternal and maternal grandparents; her brother, Calvin Brown; her sister, Irene Edwards; cousins, Tina Brown, Jemarius Wraggs, Cornelius Brown and Michael Brown, nephews, Calvin D. Churchwell, Sr., and Jerry C. Webb, Jr. and other loved ones who have gone before her.
Friends may call Monday, December 15, 2025, from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. Howard Carr will officiate.
