Catherine Satterly Wilson, born on November 11, 1941, in Brooklyn, NY, left this world with grace on October 23, 2025, in Wilmington, NC, at the age of 83. A strong-willed and independent woman, Catherine's life was a testament to dedication, love, and resilience.

Catherine's journey was one of compassion and care as she devoted over 20 years to the healthcare field, serving as a nurse. Her ability to provide comfort and aid to those countless lives, reminding us all of the profound power of kindness and empathy.

Her interests were as varied as they were inspiring. Catherine brought creativity and joy through her love of crafts. On the golf course, she found her vibrant spirit and zeal for life. Her passion for reading transported her to other worlds, offering adventure in equal measure.

Catherine's kitchen was a sanctuary filled with the warmth of Christmas cookies and pies, where she crafted elaborate meals for her family with her heart. These gatherings, rich with laughter and delicious aromas, are memories treasured by all who had the fortune to be part of them.

She is preceded in death by her beloved mother and her cherished Yorkie Terrier, Coco, whose spirits now embrace her in eternity.

Catherine is survived by her devoted sister, Lynn.

Also, her beloved husband, Charles William Wilson Jr. Their story is a beautiful reminder of love's boundless possibilities-rekindled later in life thanks to technology, it flourished from Facebook connections to marathon phone calls and emailed wedding invitations, culminating in their "happily ever after." He loved and cared for her for twelve wonderful years.

Her legacy endures through her four daughters-Debbie, Donna, Diana, and Krista-and the generations that follow: her grandchildren Jennifer, Joseph, Justin, Kristin, Robbie, James, Nicholas, and Taylor; and her great-grandchildren Jaxson, Grayson, Morgan, Zachary, Abigail, Reagan, Dylan, William, Asher, George, Rory, Maeve, and Luna. Her sweet dog, Daisy Rose, continues to bring joy and comfort to the family.

Catherine's left an everlasting imprint on all who knew her. Her family plans to honor her memory at a later time, gathering to celebrate a life well-lived and a woman deeply loved.

As we remember Catherine, let us be inspired by her unwavering strength and her enduring legacy. Her life is a beacon of hope and a testament to living with love and purpose.
