Catherine Waters Woolard, 77, of Fayetteville passed away peacefully at home, in the presence of her loving family on June 8, 2024.
She was born on February 27, 1947, to the late Lonnie and Gladys Waters in Pinetown, NC. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard G. Woolard, Jr and her brother, Sherwood Waters.
Cathy retired after working over 20 years as a secretary for North Carolina Farm Bureau Insurance Company. She was an active and dedicated member of Judson Missionary Baptist Church. Cathy received the greatest joys from working in the yard and playing with her grandchildren.
Those left behind to cherish her memory is her son, Troy Gray Woolard and wife Paula, of Fayetteville, NC; two daughters, Kimberly Riley and husband Chris, of Lexington, NC and Penny Blackburn and husband Randall, of Fayetteville, NC; eleven grandchildren, Timothy and wife Jesse, Zachary, Cameron, Brett, Megan, Tyler, Matthew, Ashley, Amanda, Nicolas, and Donald; three great-grandsons, Caden, Connor, and Graylyn; and one sister, Peggy Blake, of Belhaven, NC.
The family will welcome friends from 5 to 7pm, at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service, on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. A funeral is scheduled for 1pm, on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Judson Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Judson Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to encourage everyone to wear purple in honor of Alzheimer's Awareness.
