Cathleen Dunham Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Palmer Funeral Homes - Welsheimer Chapel-North on Feb. 19, 2026.
Cathleen Lynn Dunham, 65, passed away on February 14, 2026, in Mishawaka, Indiana. Born on May 2, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois, Cathleen's life was a tapestry of love, creativity, and warmth that touched all who knew her.

Cathleen was the beloved daughter of the late Raymond Charles Carnahan, Jr. and GeNora June (Ahlsen) Carnahan. Despite the loss of her parents and her brother Michael Carnahan, Cathleen's resilient spirit shone through as she built her own family and legacy.

She is survived by her adoring children, Angelina Dunham and Matt (Betsy) Dunham, who were the pride and joy of her life. Cathleen's love for her family was immeasurable, and she instilled in her children the values of kindness, creativity, and the importance of family bonds. Her grandchildren, Lilliana, Ethan, Aowyn, Jace, Everly, and Lydia, will forever cherish the memories of their grandmother. Cathleen's sister, Julie Ritchie, will remember her as not just a sibling but as a lifelong friend. Also, she is survived by her brother Dale Carnahan.

An artist at heart, Cathleen had a passion for crafts and painting. Friends and family often received handmade gifts that were crafted with love and care, each piece a token of Cathleen's generous and thoughtful nature.

Cathleen's lap dog, Dela, was her constant companion and source of joy. The special bond they shared was evident to all who visited her home, where Dela was always by her side, providing comfort and happiness.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Hope Bible Church, 862 W. Glendora Road, Buchanan, Michigan. Palmer Funeral Homes – Welsheimer North Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
