Cathleen B Eisaman

Ms. Cathleen B. Eisaman, age 80, of Newark, Delaware passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, May 9, 2025 at her home.
Born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, a daughter of James T. and Mary Belcher. She attended Villa Maria Academy School in Malvern. She had formerly resided in Pennsylvania and Florida before moving to Delaware. Cathleen was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Newark, Delaware.
Cathleen loved horses. She enjoyed fox hunting, horse shows and teaching riding lessons. She and her former husband, John T. McNerney Jr. operated a boarding stable in Cochranville, PA where their daughter Mary learned to ride and share her love for horses.
With her second husband, Cathleen broke and trained race horses. They eventually moved to Florida and ran a breeding, training, and injured racehorse recovery center. Cathleen also loved Jack Russell Terriers and eventually bred and sold her signature puppies.
In 1987, Cathleen moved with her daughter, Mary, to Maryland where she taught riding lessons for several years in both Maryland and Pennsylvania. Later, Cathleen accepted a job at QVC in Pennsylvania. Cathleen initially worked as a jewelry packer in the fulfillment department; however, she did advance to training other employees at QVC.
In 2007, Cathleen retired from QVC and moved to Delaware to help care for her three grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with them, taking them to the park and YMCA. She also enjoyed watching their sports and all of their school activities.
Cathleen enjoyed reading mystery novels. Some of her favorite authors were John Grisham, Tom Clancy and Rita May Brown.
In addition to her late parents, Cathleen is preceded in death by her brother, John Belcher. She is survived by her daughter, Mary McNerney Hammond; her three grandchildren, Amanda, Joseph and Davon Hammond, her great grandchild, Kingston Hammond, and her many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Williams Funeral Home and Burial Services. Services will be planned for a later date and held at the convenience of the family.
