Cathy Adams, a cherished member of the Cheraw community, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2024, at the age of 67. Born in Franklin, NC on December 27, 1956, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Max and Sue Holland.
Cathy was a dedicated Administrative Assistant in the healthcare sector, where she made a significant impact at Tri-County Mental Health. An avid crafter, she found joy in sewing, reading, and playing games on her computer. Cathy adored her grandchildren and found immense happiness in spending time with them.
Her kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit touched the lives of all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Cathy was also a member of Cash Baptist Church.
Along with her parents, listed above, Cathy was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Holland and a sister, Donita Linton.
Cathy leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 39 years, Timothy Adams of the home; a son, Bradley Pitman (Erica) of Society Hill, SC; a daughter, Heather Caulder (Chuck) of Bennettsville, SC; sisters, Donna Gouge (Dean) of Bakersville, NC and Connie McKinney of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Martina Deas, Marisa Pitman, Harley Caulder, Tyson Caulder, Kennedy Caulder, and Rayna Caulder; a brother-in-law, David Linton; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Kiser Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. just prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
Kiser Funeral Home has been entrusted to serve the Adams family in their time of grief.
