Cathy Austin Obituary
Cathy Ann Austin, 75, of Locust, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026 under Hospice Care.
Cathy was born November 19, 1950, in Stanly County to the late Gatha Austin and Ramelle Austin.
She was also preceded in death by sister, Belinda A. Polk.
Cathy did her undergraduate and graduate degree at Appalachian State University. She was a family therapist for many years in the state of North Carolina.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. - 11:45 p.m., Saturday, February 21, 2026, Berea Baptist Church, Stanfield. The funeral service will be on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at Berea Baptist Church in Stanfield officiated by Associate Pastor Blake McClain. Burial will follow at the Berea Baptist Church Cemetery at 100 Berea Baptist Church Road, Stanfield.
Survivors include Tony Austin and wife, Kathy, and Dale Austin and wife Cathy.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081 or Berea Baptist Church, 100 Berea Church Road, Stanfield, NC 28163.
