Cathy Eileen Blass, a radiant light in the lives of all who knew her, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025, at the age of 75, in
Georgetown, Texas. Born on November 1, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan, Cathy was the cherished daughter of Ruth and Tom Swing. She carried the love of her parents with her throughout her life, nurturing and sharing it with everyone she encountered.
Cathy's journey through life was marked by her unwavering loyalty, compassion, and beautiful spirit. Her friends and family often described her as angelic, possessing a warmth that drew people to her. She married the love of her life, Danny Blass, on April 3, 1971, in Dallas, Texas. Together, they built a loving home and a family that would be her greatest joy. Cathy's family was everything to her, and she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to their happiness and well-being.
Cathy's 10 year battle with dementia was a difficult journey, one that she faced with strength and dignity. Even as her condition progressed, her loving nature and kind spirit shone through. She remained a source of light for her family and friends, teaching them the true meaning of love and perseverance in the face of adversity. Throughout her life, Cathy faced all challenges with grace and resilience.
Cathy is survived by her husband, Danny, daughter, Angie Level & husband Mike, grandkids Coltyn, Rylan, Lindsey and Brandon, brother Gregg swing and his wife Julie, her sister in law Ginger and her husband Richard and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Aaron Blass, her parents Ruth and Tom Swing, her brother Tom Scott Swing, and her grandparents.
A celebration of Cathy's remarkable life will be held on April 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Ramsey Funeral Home. It is a time for all who loved her to come together, share memories, and honor the incredible woman she was. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire everyone she touched.
Cathy, will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her love, kindness, and angelic presence will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love of those she lost and the joy she brought to so many.
