Mrs. Cathy Cherrette, age 68, of West Olive passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024. She was born February 24, 1956, in Muskegon to Martin and Norma (Slate) Knuppenburg. On October 24, 1987, she married Fred Cherrette in Muskegon.
Cathy was a member of the Grand Haven Gospel Chapel and a proud member of the Tri-Cities Al-Anon Club. She enjoyed music, crafts, walking the beach and watching baseball; but most of all, she loved being with her husband, daughter, family and friends. Cathy was full of life; vivacious, enthusiastic and a big social butterfly!
Cathy is survived by her husband of 37 years, Fred; daughters, Alicia (Zachary) Boehs and Elizabeth Lynch; grandchildren: Drew and Sage Lynch, and one on the way; sister, Charlotte (Matt) Bouwhuis; and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Norma.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the Grand Haven Gospel Chapel with Pastor Ken Shady officiating. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2024, at The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 620 Washington Ave., Grand Haven, MI 49417. Interment will take place in Pine Hill Cemetery.
