Lyndon Evans Obituary
Per his wishes, no formal service will be held. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
Lyndon was a gentle, selfless man who spent his life putting others first. He carried a steady kindness that never sought attention and a quiet strength felt by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Sherri; his two sisters; his son Rodney Evans and wife Heidi, and their four children; and his daughter Diane Dykstra and husband Dave, their three children, and two great-grandchildren.
Lyndon grew up in a large family, surrounded by his three brothers and five sisters. He attended school at Mount Ayr Community School. Lyndon was united in marriage to Sharon "Sherri" Lea Lucas on January 23, 1962.
Lyndon worked for many years as a skilled woodworker for Dobson Pipe Organ Builders in Lake City, leaving his craftsmanship in instruments played around the world.
