Cathy Laske Obituary
A heavenly birthday party will be held from 10:00AM to 12:30PM on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at First United Methodist Church Norwood.
Cathy was born August 19th, 1982 to the late Michael Joseph Laske and Susan Lynn Lambert, who survives. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Norwood.
Those that knew Cathy, knew a kind heart who brought light and laughter with her wherever she went. They knew a fierce fighter who stared cancer in the face, steadfast, without fear or doubt and beat all odds. Cathy never met a stranger; she brought joy and hope to all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. Those that did, likely parted with a bracelet painstakingly crafted by her own hands. She wanted everyone in the world to know that Jesus loved them and so did she. She spread the word of God across the globe, from India and Africa to South America, touching thousands of lives through her bracelet ministry. While Cathy loved all people without reservation, she loved her family beyond measure. Cathy was unwavering in her faith and is surely resting peacefully in paradise next to Jesus and the loved ones that preceded her.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brother and sisters, Mindy Schiermyer (Matthew) of Vero Beach, FL, Robert Laske (Tiffany) of Carthage, and Kelly Plummer (Bradley) of Norwood; her aunts, Patti Schultz and Anne Reynolds; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Memorials may be made to: First United Methodist Church Norwood Music Department where she graced the congregation with her beautiful voice, PO Box 948 Norwood, NC 28128.
