Cathy L McAleer

Cathy L. McAleer, 72, passed away at 8:31 p.m. on Sunday December 7, 2025 at the St. Joseph Health Center following a long illness.
She was born in Warren, Ohio on August 30, 1953 the daughter of Harlan and Ruby Mae (Allender) Johnson. She was a graduate of Mineral Ridge High School and was of the Christian faith. An angel amongst us, she loved family gatherings and the holidays, Christmas time was her favorite. Cathy enjoyed dinning out, bible study, watching soap operas and her favorite sports teams. An intellectual person, she knew the name of every flower in the garden.
Cathy is survived by her husband, Hugh L. McAleer whom she married on January 29, 1998; four children, Lori (Thomas) Villio of Howland, Rachelle (Richard) Lewis of Niles, Julie (Michael) Grubbs of Mineral Ridge, Paul Rohrbaugh III of Howland; twelve grandchildren and great grandchildren, Cassie, Rebekah, Darren, Ryan, Gavin, Sadie, Giullianna, Pierson, Gaige, Caselee, Robert, Enzo; siblings, Joyce Arcuri of Austintown, Debbie Kajtar of Austintown, Paul (Marsha) Johnson of Howland, Peter (Lorrie) Johnson of Howland.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Pamela L. Kunkle; brother, Rob Johnson; niece Jennifer Lovejoy; and brother-in-law Michael Arcuri.
The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
