Cathy A Peterson

Cathy A. Peterson, 69, of Menominee passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Aurora Medical Center-Bay Area. She was born on November 21, 1955, to the late Charles and Nancy (Wallace) Wakeman in Flint, MI. She graduated from Menominee High School in 1974. On June 28, 1981, Cathy married the love of her life, Howard Peterson; he preceded her in death on January 22, 2019. She worked at Emmerson for twelve years and owned and operated Pete's Walk In for 25 years. She was a member of the Marinette Tavern League. Cathy loved spending time with her grandkids, gardening and was an avid Packer and Brewer fan.

Cathy is survived by her son, Jeff (Jennifer) Tickler of Menominee; daughters, Laurie (Paul) Vande Ven of Little Chute and Debbie (Brian) Ward of Green Bay; brother, Danny (Liz) Wakeman of Menominee; sister, Vickie (Roger) Makl of Virginia; seven grandchildren: Paige (Mark) Tickler of Chicago, Jeffrey Tickler of Menominee, Tabetha Ward and Jacob Ward both of Green Bay, Adam (Katie) VandeVen, Meagon (Tyler) Peterson and Brandon (Krista) VandeVen all of Little Chute; and five great grandchildren with another on the way. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard.

A Celebration of Cathy's life will be held at the Alibi on Sunday November 2nd from 11am to 3pm. Everyone is asked to wear Packer gear. Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
