Cathy Phillips

Cathy Joy Phillips, age 37, passed away November 24, 2021. She was born in Winfield, Illinois and resided in Nashville, TN, she lived in Medway, MA and Potomac, MD in her adolescent years. Cathy graduated high school from Winston Churchill High in Potomac, MD and received her Bachelor's Degree from Bentley University in Massachusetts. She worked for Bank of America for over 18 years and was an SVP with many awards to her name.
Cathy was the glue that held people together, she loved dancing and hosting parties, she knew all the new restaurants and made it a point to visit them frequently and was an adventurous eater. She was well travelled and made frequent trips to France and Cambodia to see her family; she spoke several languages very well including French. She was beautiful inside and out and was a courageous fighter that let nothing stand between her and her friends and family. Her wishes were that she be cremated and her ashes spread in Cambodia, her homeland.
She is survived by her husband and daughter, Douglas and Everly Phillips of Nashville, TN; mother, Vicki Yeb of Nashville, TN; step father, William Yeb of Georgia; paternal father, Viphou Chhe of Arizona; aunt and uncle, Ratha Tan and Mala Sok of France; cousins, Pauline and Henri Patricot of France and their two children Clara Patricot and Hadrien Patricot; cousins, Rithear Sok, Romonear Sok, and Chhorvina Sok of France; mother-in-law and father in-law, Virginia and Jerry Phillips; Sister in-law, Kelly Phillips; and a host of other loving family members and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 5pm on January 16 at her favorite restaurant, Lyra at 935 W Eastland Ave, Nashville, TN 37206. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to one of several charities that were close to Cathy's heart.
