Cathy Harrison Savage

Cathy Harrison Savage, formerly of Rocky Mount, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Transitions LifeCare of Raleigh, North Carolina at age 71 after a 4-year, hard fought battle with breast cancer. Her life-long journey started in Rocky Mount, September 7, 1954, as the third daughter born to James T Harrison and Bonnie Millard Strickland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Frances Harrison Tarleton.

She leaves a lifetime of special memories for her daughters, Charity Larrick Hodgin (Richard) of Cary, Beth Larrick Evans (Darin) of Cary, and Melissa Savage of Raleigh along with other extended relatives.

Cathy was a beloved "Mima" to her grandchildren, Sam Hodgin, Riley Evans, Janus Hodgin, Joseph Evans, and Lainey Evans.

Cathy loved all music and was an accomplished pianist. She loved all animals, especially cats.
