Cathy Sue Starcher, 73, Tonganoxie, KS, passed away October 2, 2025, at Advent Heath, Shawnee, KS.

A celebration of life will be held Friday October 10, 2025, from 4-8pm at the family home at 18471 182nd street, Tonganoxie, KS.

Cathy was born June 14, 1952, in Lawrence, KS, the daughter of Marion and Patricia (Hassett) Armstrong. She was united in marriage on June 12, 1971, to James Starcher. They celebrated 54 years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Douglas Coleman. Cathy enjoyed traveling to Texas for the past 21 years and camping and gambling. She loved to bake, sew, and craft and enjoyed the family cattle farm. She also enjoyed being the babysitter for all of her nephews.

Survivors include; her husband, James Starcher, of the home; one son Michael (Becky) Starcher, Minerva, OH; one daughter, Nicole (Shane) Hall, Tonganoxie; one brother, David (Darla) Coleman, Burns, KS; two sisters, Debra (Bob) Alexander, Tonganoxie, Kelli Brewer, Tonganoxie; grandchildren, Haley (Cameron) Janssen, Basehor, KS, Ashlyn Reid, Minerva, OH, Cassie Starcher, Minerva, OH, Caleb Starcher, Minerva, OH and five great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations in her name to Advent Health Cancer Institute, or the Lansing Care and Rehabilitation Center.
