Cavan Joseph Cantagallo, 32, of Philadelphia, passed away unexpectedly on Monday March 11, 2024.
Cavan was born and raised in Parkwood, Philadelphia to Kimberly and Peter Cantagallo. After he received his high school diploma, he furthered his education and received his Associates in Building Maintenance from Orleans Technical College. Cavan was an honorably discharged veteran of the Army Serving from 2012 to 2015 as a 91 Bravo. He was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Calvary Catholic Church in Philadelphia. When Cavan wasn’t working as a diesel mechanic for Pepsi , he enjoyed hanging out with his friends and family especially his girls, he would never miss a soccer game, basketball game, playdate, or anything for his girls! He loved his family more than anything in this world. He was their protector and SUPERMAN. He would do anything for anyone and give you the shirt off his back. You could always find Cavan singing Wagon Wheel at any event with a huge drink in his hand or singing and dancing at home with his baby girls to Niko Moon. He loved going to country concerts. He never missed an Eagles game at his best friend Anthony’s house, he was a die hard eagles fan. He loved family holidays and being around everyone he loved. Cavan was a true definition of a HERO and was one of a kind.
Cavan is predeceased by his Grandfather and Grandmother Robert and Diane Wrubel. He is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Kyrsten Cantagallo; their three daughters, Kamryn, Kyla, Kassidy; his siblings, Peter Cantagallo, Dara Sokalski, William Sokalski, Vicki Franco, Nicole Neary, Vincent Catagallo; his parents, Kimberly and Peter Cantagallo; his mother-in-law, Patty Bogl; his brothers-in-Law, Justin and Brandon Krajci; along with many nieces, nephews , extended relatives, and close friends. He will also be missed by his fur baby, Paisley.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday March 20, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.in Our Lady of Calvary Church, 11024 Knights Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154, The funeral Mass will begin at 12:30. Interment and Military Honors will be rendered at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown following the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Cavans memory to Our Lady of Calvary Church, 11024 Knights Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Funeral Services have been entrusted to J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Avenue, Morrisville, PA 19067.
