Cecelia M. Novelle

SHREWSBURY__ Our Dear mother Cecelia Novelle, 83, sadly passed away on May 3, 2023, at home surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her two sons, Harry Novelle Jr. and his wife Wendy of North Grafton, Wayne Novelle and his fiancée Jane Foss of Shrewsbury; Harry Novelle Sr., brothers James Keddy, John Keddy, sisters, Janice Welcome, Debbie Pascarelli, Priscilla Ekberg, Kathleen Robbins, Marcia Hansbury; grandchildren, Dylan Novelle and Samantha Novelle and her fiancé Khahnty Daraphet; great grandchildren, Avery and Elsie Daraphet. She is predeceased by a sister Virginia Pizzarella. Born in Ware, MA, she was the daughter of James and Edith (McAtee) Keddy.
A longtime Shrewsbury resident, she worked as a secretary for the Town of Shrewsbury before retiring to be with the family. Cecelia graduated from the former Worcester Commerce High School. She enjoyed reading the daily newspaper, crosswords and finding the perfect bargain at the flea market. She looked forward to and enjoyed her Thursday night gatherings with her sisters and brother that included food, family, and fun. She was a loving grandmother to Dylan and Samantha and played an important role in helping to raise them. When her great grandchildren were born, she continued to provide love and support even during her difficult times. Cecelia was an amazing, caring, selfless woman who offered help and love to everyone. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. Services will be private.
