Cecil Cledis Berry Jr, 86, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Sunday, October 05, 2025, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Cledis was born on June 06, 1939, to Cecil and Agnes (Hastings) Berry in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He married Virginia Gayle (Gilmore) on December 24, 1960, also in Poplar Bluff.
Cledis proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a life member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 1056. He worked at Rowe Furniture as a supervisor for 36 years before retiring in 2001. Cledis enjoyed camping and spending time outside. He was a sports enthusiast and especially loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Cledis was a simple and hardworking man who loved his family. His proudest title was Papa.
Cledis is survived by his two children, Stacy Berry and Tracy Henderson; sister, Shirley Harwell; sister-in-law, Beverly Berry; three grandchildren, Chad, Amber, and Carmen Berry; four great-grandchildren, Kylee Berry, Malik Johnson, Knox Dickson, and Mackynzie Cluck; and special friend, Joyce Eakins.
Cledis was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Berry; brother, Bill Berry; brother-in-law Carroll Harwell; and son-in-law, Bob Henderson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th, 2025, from 11:00am - 12:00pm at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral service will follow beginning at Noon with Pastor Steve Patterson officiating. Burial will take place at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
