Cecil Ray Davis, age 88, of Marion, Illinois, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Integrity Healthcare in Marion, Illinois.
Cecil was born August 16, 1936 in Stonefort, Illinois, a son of George and Bertha (Davis) Davis. He married the love of his life, Jo Ann (Brooks) Davis on February 24, 1959 in Marion. Cecil opened Fast Print in 1981 and ran the business along with Jo Ann until they sold it in 1999. Prior to that he a drywaller.. He loved working on his farm, baling hay and raising horses. His favorite horse was Lucky. Enjoyed traveling all over with his daughter when she was competing in horse shows.
He is survived by his spouse Jo Ann (Brooks) Davis of Marion, IL; four children, Vicky (Dale) Atwood of Marion, IL, Lisa (Darrel) Davis of Marion, IL, Tony (Becky) Davis of NC, and Terri (Brent) Simpson of MI; eight grandchildren, Jody (Tammy) Wright, William "Bill" (Jessica) Atwood, Jennifer (Nathan) White, Christopher (Lexi ) Ramsey, Trevor Simpson, Grace Simpson, Trent Simpson, and Aleah Simpson; two brothers, Deon (Judy) Davis of Creal Springs, IL and Charles (Lois) Davis of Creal Springs, IL; and several Great Grandchildren.. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Bertha (Davis) Davis and four siblings, Loretta Lambert, Ronald Gene Davis, Frank Davis, and an infant brother.
Visitation will be Monday, August 26th, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 26, 2024, 12:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Owens officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion.
