Cecil Gerald Smith

Born on September 28, 1941, in Arkansas, he lived a life marked by devotion to his faith, love for his family, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.

Cecil was a dedicated Jehovah's Witness. His commitment to his faith was evident in every aspect of his life. He loved being in the field ministry, sharing Bible teachings with others and offering encouragement through scripture. At the Kingdom Hall, Cecil was a familiar and welcoming presence-often the first person you'd see as you entered. Whether he was at the literature counter handing out magazines or carrying microphones during meetings, he served Jehovah with his whole heart and found joy in helping others grow spiritually.

Family was central to Cecil's life. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Patricia; their children Tony (wife, Andrea), Tina (husband, Curt), and Jeff; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind two sisters, Margie Dennis and Connie Thompson.

Cecil had a passion for gardening that extended far beyond his own backyard. He was known for always asking others about their gardens-how they were growing and what they were harvesting-and he never hesitated to share produce from his own. His generosity bloomed alongside his plants.

One of Cecil's favorite pastimes was sitting on the back porch with Patricia, enjoying a cold Diet Coke while taking in the peace of the day. He cherished time spent with family around a table filled with good food-especially if it included something sweet.

Cecil's warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith left an impression on all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him.
