Cecile A "Barrette" Leclerc

Cecile A. Leclerc, fondly known as "Cil", 87, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026. She was surrounded by many loving family members who were witness to her transition to the afterlife. Her legacy lives on through memories of her never-ending smile and delightful disposition. At the Holiday Retirement Home in Manville, RI, where she spent her last 3 years of life, the staff affectionately referred to her as "Cici" and "Sparkles".

Cil was born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island to the late Noe and Irene (Proulx) Barrette. She was devoted to her husband Robert (Bob) for 67 years. Cil worked as an executive secretary and receptionist at Jannell Truck Bodies in Woonsocket, RI and Real Estate Property Management (REPM) in Woonsocket, RI for decades. She also worked for many years at Woonsocket City Hall. She loved to travel with Bob in their RV and made many road trips to Florida. She also sang in the choir at St. Joseph's Church.

Cil was a devoted mother to Paul and his wife Brenda, Michael and his wife Mary, and John and his wife Tammy; grandmother to Sarah, Hannah, Nicole, Stacy, Chris, Alex, Leacadia, Michael, and Jacob; and great grandmother to Charlotte, Ella, Teigan, Frankie, Jacob Jr, and Layne. Cil grew up in a large family of 13 siblings: Pauline Ethier, Ernest Barrette (deceased), Alice Leduc, Gerard Barrette (deceased), Emile Barrette (deceased), Roland Barrett (deceased), Therese Pelland (deceased), Jeanne Boffi, Helene Cloutier, Raymond Barrette, Rita Martin, Richard Barrette, and Suzanne Theroux.

Her funeral will be held Monday, March 16, 2026 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Joseph Church, 1200 Mendon Rd and may be viewed live at https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/a26034821563126 Burial will be private.
