Cecile Semrau Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 9, 2026.
Cecile Semrau, age 78, passed away surrounded by family at home on Tuesday February 3rd, 2026. She was born on June 25, 1947 in Stoughton Wisconsin to Cecil and Eleanor Seely. She lived most of her life in the Janesville and Edgerton areas. Later in life, she found her home in the Northwoods and that is where her heart and soul will remain. Cecile's first marriage ended in divorce but from that union 2 sons were born. In September of 1999, Cecile married Ronald Semrau and this is when the Northwoods became her home. She loved the wildlife that would roam her yard including deer, foxes, raccoons and bears. She instilled a love of four wheeling in her grandchildren that they carry on today.

Cecile is survived by her sons and their families, Bill and Dawn Lock and Norman and Cathy Lock. She is also survived by her grandchildren Mykayla and Ross Perkins, Ryan Lock and Josh and Stephanie Lock. She also leaves behind 3 great grandchildren whom she adored, Mykenna and David Perkins and Elizabeth Lock

Other surviving family include sisters, Beverly Christianson, Sheila Peck, Emily Goldsmith, Karen Bolden, numerous nieces and nephews and special friends Sherry Teubert, Kristie Graf and Twilla Helling

Cecile was preceded in death by her husband Ron, parents, Cecil and Eleanor, sister Audrey, brother Norman and great grandson Justin.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held at Albrecht Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Milton on Saturday March 7, 2026 from 11am-1pm with a luncheon to follow in the Tomah Room inside Milton House Museum in Milton. Entombment will be next to her husband, at Northwoods National Cemetery in Harshaw Wisconsin at a later date.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Davita Dialysis, and Amy from Mercy Hospice for their compassionate care and support for Cecile.

We would also like to thank Karen and Kristie for devoting their time helping Cecile feel comfortable and loved her last few days. The Albrecht Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Milton is assisting the family with arrangements.
