Cedric Lilly Obituary
Growing up and educated in Rhode Island, Cedric had a passion for acting. He would go on to attend the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Performing in the theater brought Cedric such happiness and brought him to many places. Performances in cities such as Philadelphia, Boston and New York City were accomplishments that Cedric was proud of. He performed in Providence many times and entertained throughout Rhode Island for several years. Cedric also made an impact for the community as a teacher, in which he connected youth and taught through the arts.
In addition to his career, Cedric was extremely close with his family. He was an excellent son and even convinced his Dad to pick up acting at the age of 56. Aside from living in Philadelphia for a time, Cedric also lived in New York City for a few years however, Providence always felt like home.
In addition to his parents, Betty Ann and Mishell Lilly of Providence, Cedric is survived by his brother Julius Hendericks and his sister Sabrina Hendericks. He was the uncle of Shabrina and the grand uncle of Ayliah Young.
Private cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements under the care of the Charles Coelho Funeral Home of Central Falls.

Astonished and deeply saddened by this news. We remember Cedric as a classmate of our daughter Liza at the Gordon School and had just enjoyed his performance in the GAMM´s recent production of Hamlet. Our deepest sympathies to all, Frances & Peter Trafton

My most heartfelt condolences to Cedric's loved ones for this terrible loss. I was in the All Children's Theatre with Cedric many years ago, and even though much time has passed since then, the memory of his jovial spirit continues to make me smile. His family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

My mom would say where is V and he would say she´s dilly dallying let me get her

My sincere condolences to Cedric's family and many friends on this heartbreaking loss. I had the pleasure of working with Cedric and his talent was staggering (to the point of, "Whoa! The rest of us need to ramp up our game!") But, talent isn't everything. Cedric was a kind friend to all and a joy to be around. His passing leaves a void in the theatre community, and he will be so greatly missed.
