Celeste Enright Obituary
Celeste Iida Enright (January 13, 1959-June 18, 2024) died in her sleep at Sudbury Pines Nursing Home in Sudbury, MA. She previously resided in Taunton and Attleboro, MA. She was the daughter of Evelyn and the late Tatsuji Iida, M.D.
Celeste is also survived by her son, Jonathan Enright and his children Kai and Cole; her sisters: Susan Cocco of Warwick, RI; Michelle Bennette of Travelers' Rest, SC; Grace Baldwin of Tuckahoe, NY; Janet Jardine of Arlington, MA; Nancy Iida of Attleboro, MA; Linda Iida of Pawtucket, RI; Elizabeth Iida of E. Greenwich, RI; Amy Doorley-Lucas of Voluntown, CT; and Pam Weathers of Frisco, Texas; her brothers David Iida of Rye, NY and Eric Iida of W. Newton, MA; and a host of loving in-laws, nephews and nieces.
Celeste was beautiful and strong. She had a clear vision of right and wrong and readily expressed it. Oh boy, yes. Yet she brimmed with hilarity, and was quick to laugh and tease. Throughout all her life's challenges, she readily forgave where she felt wronged, and did not dwell in self-pity. She was smart, thoughtful, and kind. She loved her family, the ocean, the simple life, and was sure the sun rose and set on her beloved son.
A public funeral service will be held at Faith Alliance Church in Attleboro on Thursday, August 15th at 11:00. A private commemoration will be held for the family.
