John B. Pacino, of Quincy, died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Milton. He was 82.

John was born in Boston on September 9, 1943, and was the son of the late John and Catherine (White) Pacino. He was raised in South Boston, Dorchester, and North Quincy, and attended local schools. John was a proud graduate of North Quincy High School, Class of 1962, and went on to build a steady career with the Boston Edison Company, where he worked as a meter reader.

A resident of Quincy for 70 years, John was deeply rooted in his community. He was a longtime member of the North Quincy Knights of Columbus and a man of great faith, remaining an active and devoted parishioner throughout his life.

On June 17, 1967, John married the love of his life at Sacred Heart Church in North Quincy, beginning a marriage grounded in faith, dedication, and family. A hard worker in every sense of the word, John always provided for his family and took great pride in doing so. Family meant everything to him, and he especially cherished family gatherings and time spent together.

John was a devoted advocate for his children and grandchildren, rarely missing a sporting event and always cheering from the sidelines with pride. His commitment to family extended beyond generations. After losing his father at a young age, John lovingly cared for his mother for many years until her death.

In his leisure time, John enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and the simple pleasures of being surrounded by those he loved. He also proudly served his country in the National Guard, a reflection of his sense of duty and service.

John will be remembered as a faithful, hardworking, and devoted family man whose life was defined by love, responsibility, and unwavering commitment to those he cared for. He will be missed by all the lives he touched.

John was the beloved husband of Arlene A. (McPhee) Pacino, who died in December of 2024. He was the devoted father of Elizabeth A. Pacino Matheson and her husband Michael of Franklin, John B. Pacino Jr. and his wife Elaine of Hanover, and David P. Pacino, Lt., QPD and his wife Siobhan of Braintree. John was the loving grandfather of Nicholas Barry of Franklin, Jack Pacino of Hanover, Danielle Barry of Franklin, Christopher Pacino of Hanover, Ryan Pacino of Braintree, and Fiona Pacino of Braintree. He was the dear brother of Mary Pesente and her husband John of Florida. He was the dear brother-in-law of Ken McPhee and his wife Marie of Weymouth, and the late Daniel McPhee and his late wife Phyllis. John is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, prior to the Funeral Mass at Divine Mercy Parish in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM.

Services will conclude with interment in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
