Celeste Christine Haliburton, born June 17, 1981, in Kansas City, Kansas was the beloved daughter of Vickie Haliburton and John Shaw Sr. (Constance). she graduated from Westport High School in 2000 and later attended Job Corp.

In 2020, Celeste joined 3 Angels SDA Church, where she was baptized under Pastor DeJay Nelson. Even as she faced ongoing health challenges her faith in God never wavered. She cherished her daily devotions and found joy in her walk with Christ.

Celeste resided in Raytown, Missouri, with her fiancé, Dennis Powell, Known, for her beautiful smile, contagious laugh, and kind spirit, she touched the hearts of everyone she met. Though she had no children of her own, she adored her fur baby, Christine Agnes Marie Powell Haliburton, whom she lovingly called her child. Her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving, a blessing she was able to enjoy with her family one last time.

God called her to rest on November 30, 2025. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Georgia and John Wesley Haliburton; and George Callaway; her aunts, Earlene; and Vanessa Haliburton; and her cousin, Lester Haliburton.

She leaves to await her reunion at the Second Coming with her mother, Vickie Haliburton; father, John Shaw II; fiancé, Dennis Powell; stepson, Tyrone James Powell; sisters, Shauntae Hawkins; Natalie Haliburton; and Nicole Haliburton; brother, John Shaw III; three nephews, Nicholas Haliburton; Kylan Warren; and Jarrel Davis Jr.; five nieces, Tamara Powell; Naudica Mitchell; E'Leigha Warren; Autumn Shaw; and Niyah Haliburton; and a host oof uncles, aunts, cousins, and dear friends.

Celeste will be remembered for her faith, her gentle heart, and the love she shared so freely.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at 3 Angels Seventh Day Adventist Church 210 Spring Street Belton, MO 64012. Private Disposition. Arrangements entrusted to Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapels. Condolences may be shared on our website lawrenceajones.com.
