Celeste Arevalo Jorge

1938 - 2025

Celeste Arevalo Jorge, beloved wife, mother, and sister, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025 surrounded by the enduring love of her family. Her life was a testament to grace, devotion, and quiet strength.

Born in Hong Kong, Celeste was the daughter of Antonio and Stella Arevalo and grew up in a close-knit family that valued faith, culture, and tradition. She was a woman of many gifts - known for her generosity, deep compassion, and the extraordinary care she poured into the lives of those around her.

On June 2, 1956, Celeste married the love of her life, Albert Francis Jorge, in a beautiful ceremony at St. Margaret's Church in Hong Kong. Together, they built a home and a life defined by enduring commitment and a deep love for their children. In 1990, the Jorge family relocated to Augusta, Georgia, where they continued to create lasting memories and a strong family legacy. Albert preceded her in death in 2024.

Celeste dedicated her life to her family. She took pride in being a full-time homemaker - a role she fulfilled with grace, patience, and exceptional love. Her children lovingly remember her as the heart of the home: steady, nurturing, and the glue that held the family together.

She was also known for her exceptional culinary skills, creating meals that brought warmth and joy to all who gathered around her table. A natural linguist, Celeste spoke multiple languages fluently - a reflection of her intelligence, curiosity, and global perspective.

Celeste is survived by her children, Ramon Jorge (Wendy) and Jamie Wier (John David); her sister, Raquel Cantwell (Bill); and her brother, Ricardo Arevalo (Debbie). She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert, and her children, Renaldo Jorge, Geraldo Jorge, Alberto Jorge, Jr., and Bernado Jorge, with whom she is now joyfully reunited.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no memorial service. Her family invites those who knew and loved Celeste to honor her memory in the ways she lived her life: through shared meals, family gatherings, quiet acts of care, and deep appreciation for life's simple joys.

Celeste Arevalo Jorge will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the comfort of her presence, and the beautiful legacy of family and tradition she leaves behind.
