Celia Robinson Obituary
She was a graduate of North Stanly High School, New London, North Carolina and matriculated to
Johnson C. Smith University, Charlotte, North Carolina, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Gayle dedicated over 30 years of her life to the field of social work, serving with unwavering compassion, integrity, and commitment. Her life's work was deeply rooted in her love for children and families. She was widely known for her heartfelt passion and tireless advocacy on their behalf.
At the time of her passing, "CG" was continuing her meaningful work as an Adoption Social worker with the Mecklenburg County Department of Social Services, Charlotte, helping to identify permanent loving homes for children in need. Her role involved working closely with families and agencies to ensure that every child had the opportunity to be placed with a "forever family", a mission she pursued with dedication and grace. "CG" was a beautiful, hardworking, devoted, and empathetic professional who made a lasting impact on the lives of countless children and families.
She was also a devoted member and Deacon of Matthews Murland Presbyterian Church, where she served God by supporting the homeless and mentoring youth in the community. Her legacy was one of service, love, and hope.
Left to cherish and honor her memory are her boyfriend, John Burrell; nephew, Michael Robinson; sisters-in-law: Carrie Robinson and Maxine Robinson; nieces, nephews, cousins; closest friends: Jennifer Drisker, Paula Leonard, and Tasha Pile; additional friends and colleagues.

To my dear friend, Celia, I am in shock to hear of your passing. I know it has been a long while since we had talked. I will truly miss you and I will never forget our fun times at JCSU and after we graduated. We had a lot of adventures and you were like an aunt to my children. We share so much over the years, good and not so good. We lost touch in our
later years, but I will always love you. You will be FOREVER in my HEART!

CG was one of my favorite wine buddies! We would hop in the car and take a fun ride to a winery before noon. I´m really going to miss the Lady in Red. I know you´re in a wonderful place now. Please say hi to my dad for me! I can just picture you sitting in his chair getting your hair done. I love you so much, and you will be dearly missed!
